Fees & Refund Policy PDF Print

WPATA Membership Fees

  • Membership fees are from January to December of each year.
  • Membership fees paid after October 1st of the year will take the membership paid to December of the following year.
  • Payments made to WPATA may only be refunded in exceptional circumstances on application to the WPATA Board.
  • Concession on fees is available to those trainees as recommended by the Trainer. This needs to be supported by a letter to the Board with reasons and will be re-evaluated annually.

Training Fees

  • Each WPATA trainer is in charge of his or her own financial business plan. It is ethically expected that each trainer will have a sound refund policy for training fees paid to them by trainees.
  • If necessary, a trainer may negotiate time payments of training fees with their trainee.

Non-Payment of membership Fees Policy

Procedure

  1. A notice for membership fees will be sent out to each member annually when fees are due.
  2. If payment has not been received within 30 days a reminder will be sent.
  3. If payment has not been received within a further 30 days then a letter, advising of possible termination, will be sent to the trainee. A copy of this letter will also be sent to the trainee’s supervisor.
  4. If payment is still not received a notice of termination will be sent to the trainee. A copy of this notice will also be sent to the trainee’s supervisor.
  5. If payment is not received by the due date, the trainee will be terminated from membership. He or she will have to join again and pay the contract-filing fee if they wish to continue training with WPATA.
